Itinerary -


Day 01: Delhi - Amritsar (by train)

In the early morning, catch the train for Amritsar. It is said to be one of the oldest city in Punjab. One of the most sanctified sites of Sikhs, the Golden Temple also called as (the Harmandir Sahib or the Darbar Sahib) is located in Amritsar. After reaching Amritsar, you will transfer to the hotel. The evening time is all free for leisure activities and sightseeing. In this time, you can visit Jalianwala Bagh and the prominent Golden Temple. We will be having delicious dinner and stay overnight at the hotel in Amritsar.


Day 02: Full day sightseeing in Amritsar with visit to Indo-Pak border at Wagah


This day will be an exciting day as you will indulge in visiting and exploring the famous attractions in Amritsar. In the morning after having healthy breakfast, we will visit the Wagah Border, which is about 30 kilometers away from the Golden Temple, for the famous beating retreat a military ceremony practice that is conducted by the security forces of India (BSF) Border Security Force and Pakistan (PR) Pakistan Rangers since 1959. Wagah is a village where the controversial Radcliffe Line was drawn as a demarcation line in the year 1947 between India and Pakistan. After attending the beating retreat ceremony, we will return back to the hotel in Amritsar. We will be having scrumptious dinner and stay overnight at the hotel in Amritsar.


Day 03: Amritsar - Dharamsala, (190 Kilometers/6 hours)


This wonderful morning, after having a complete Punjabi style breakfast, get ready to start the first day Jeep safari expedition. On this day, we will travel to Dharamshala passing through Pathankot and Gurdaspur. It will be a journey of about 205 kilometers from Amritsar. On the way of the journey, we will visit a temple located near Batala. Expansive farmlands will accompany all the way through the journey. After moving ahead for a few kilometers, you will witness hills, which means that you have passed Punjab and entered Himachal Pradesh. During the trip from Pathankot to Dharamshala, we will visit the Trilokpur rock cut temple. Later from Dharamsala, we will ascend for further 10 kilometers towards the Mc Leodganj, which is the seat of His Holiness Dalai Lama, administration center of Govt. of Tibet in exile, a number of monasteries, and several other Tibetan centers. On this day, we will also be visiting the residence of HH Dalai Lama and the Namgyal Monastery. Later you can also enjoy a leisure walk on the roads of the magnificent Mc Leodganj. We will be having scrumptious dinner and stay overnight at the hotel in Dharamshala.


Day 04: Dharamsala full day excursion of the Tibetan Establishments & monasteries:


This day, in the early morning after wholesome breakfast, we will be visiting various prominent attractions of Dharamshala like Tibetan Medical & Astro center, Tibetan Parliament in Exile, Tibetan Handicraft Centre, Tibetan library, Tibetan Children Village, and Norbulinga Institute, where we will be having delicious lunch. After the lunch, we will visit the Lord Elgin's Memorial, St. John in the Wilderness Church. We will be having scrumptious dinner and stay overnight in Dharamshala.


Day 05: Dharamsala - Tirthan Valley, (201 kilometers/6 to7 hours)

On this day as we will move ahead and start moving ascending, the thrill and adventure proportion eventually enhances. Today, after having wholesome breakfast, we will drive towards the Tirthan Valley located in Kullu district, an unexplored and striking attraction in Himachal Pradesh. On the way to our destination, we will pass through the extensive Tea gardens of Palampur, and stunning Lake of Mandi.

In Mandi, we will also visit the temples of Trilokinath, an ancient place of pilgrimage well-known for its magnificent sculptural artistry Idols of the Narda and Sharda and several other Hindu gods. Then After a drive of about 3 hours, we will reach Tirthan Valley. Apart from the Great Himalayan National Park, the Tirthan Valley is a known for and a heaven for the fishing and angling lovers as the ice-cold water streams flowing directly from the Himalaya brings with them beautiful wilder rainbow trout and brown trout. Later in the evening, you will transfer to a fishing resort at GHUSHENI where we will be having delicious dinner and stay for overnight.


Day 06: Tirthan Valley - Sarahan over Jalori Pass, (166 kilometers/7 hours)

On this day, after having healthy breakfast, we will depart for our next destination Jalori Pass (3140 Meters). On the way of today's expedition, we will pass through Shija a small hilly small town located in Seraj valley of Himachal Pradesh. The route towards Shoja goes all the way through the thick jungles of the Alpine's trees, which offers an unharmed abode of a lot of diverse fauna & flora. After moving ahead for about 35 kilometers, you will glimpse the Jalori Pass Top and then from there we will drive downhill in the direction of the Sutlej Valley. 86 kilometers downward drive from the Jalori Pass Top and a few kilometers from Sutlej Valley; we will reach Rampur, which is a center of the silk trade route, located on the bank of River Sutlej. After that from Rampur, we will drive for a few more miles towards Sarahan where we will be having scrumptious dinner and stay for overnight in the camp.


Day 07: Sarahan - Kalpa, (127 kilometers/5 hours)


In the early morning, seek the blessings of God at the Bhimakali Temple, which is situated alongside the backdrop of Mt. Shrikhand Mahadev (5227 meters). The temple carries immense significance for the Hindus as it is supposed to be the place where the Goddess Shakti destroyed Bhasmasur. Also, you can also visit the Pheasant Breading Centre and stadium. From Sarahan, you can as well pick some apple as this place is famous for its apple orchards. After this memorable and pleasurable morning, we will proceed ahead with our expedition towards the striking valley of Kinnaur. On the way, we will drive through Sutlej river region where the major power projects are presently going on. The excitement and thrill of the journey reach to peak when we will cross through various curvy roads at Nigulsari and Chora. After driving for few miles we will arrive at Powari, from where we will further continue the journey driving towards Kalpa in Kinnaur passing through Reckong Peo. As we reach our destination Kalpa, you can see the fabulous vistas of the soaring mountains like the Kinner Kailash range. We will be having delectable dinner and stay overnight at the hotel in Kalpa.


Day 08: Kalpa - Nako (106 kilometers/4 hours)


Today, wake up early in the morning and treat your eyes with the fabulous view of magnificent Kinner Kailash Range. After having healthy breakfast, we will visit the prominent Chandika Devi Temple situated at Kothi. The temple has beautiful wooden carvings with silver plated doors and distinctive architecture. The Chandika Devi Temple is an important stopover spot for the people visiting Nako. We will seek the blessings of the goddess and halt here for some time and then proceed ahead on the uphill drive towards Nako through Pooh, Reckong Peo, and Khab. Nako is a small village situated at an altitude of about 3662 meters; it is believed that this village was formed when the Lord Padamsambhava was explaining his followers a fairy tale. We will be having delicious dinner and stay for overnight in the camp at Nako.


Day 09: Nako - Tabo (63 kilometers/2 hours)

After having healthy breakfast; brace yourself for 63 kilometers long drive towards Tabo through Maling Nallah and Sumdo, which is located alongside the Spiti River. A few kilometers away from Nako, we will visit a small village Tashigang. In the region of Tashigang, you will see several caves and waterfalls, which were the abode of many fairies. Later after reaching Sumdo, you will have to obtain the permit so that you can travel around in the further region. After an exhausting drive of about 100 kilometers from Tashigang, you will reach Tabo. On arrival in Tabo, you will transfer to a hotel. In the latter half of the day, we will visit the group of monasteries, which were believed to be established in 996 AD. This monastery still preserves its original decoration and fabulous art images intact. It is considered to be the oldest continually functioning Buddhist monastery situated in India and the great Himalayas. This Buddhist monastery is also popularly famous as the 'Ajanta of the Himalayas'. We will be having delicious dinner and stay for overnight in the Hotel at Tabo.


Day 10: Tabo - Kaza through Lhalung Monastery, Dhankar Monastery, & Pin Valley


This day in the morning, we will head out and explore the notable caves in Tabo, where once the great sages used to pray. After having wholesome breakfast, we will set forth the journey towards Pin Valley through the Dhankar Monastery.

During the 17th century, Dhankar was the capital of the Spiti Valley Kingdom, Dhankar was the seat of the rulers of Spiti Valley, the Nonos, who had the right to cultivate on the government lands and necessitate maintaining the fort in repair. Located at an elevation of 3,894 meters in the Spiti Valley between the Tabo and Kaza, the complex of the monastery (Gompa) is situated on 300 meters extensive ridge, overlooking the convergence of Pin and Spiti Rivers. After exploring and spending some time at the Dhankar Monastery, we will go for a drive to Pin Valley passing through Kungri. After the visit to the monastery, we will go for a small drive to Mud, it is the last village of the Pin Valley, from where the trek routes towards Kullu and Kinnaur begins and moving further we reach Pin Parvati and Bhaba Passes.

Afterward, you will be crossing the river at Attargu and then drive for a distance of 14 kilometers to reach the Lhalung Monastery located in Lingti Valley. This Monastery is also called as the Golden Temple by the people of the Buddhist community; Lhalung Monastery is one of the prehistoric monasteries established in Spiti Valley in the late 10th century CE by the great Tibetan Buddhist Lotswa, the king of the western Himalayan Province of Guge 'Rinchen Zangpo'. After paying a visit to the magnificent monastery, we will advance and head towards the main thoroughfare to visit Kaza, which is about 10 kilometers away from the Lhalung Monastery. Tonight we will be staying at a hotel in Kaza.


Day 11: Excursion of Kee, Langza, Hikkim Kibber, & Komic and back Kaza (48 kilometers)

After having healthy breakfast; start the trail and we will drive towards Kee Gompa, followed by a tour to the Kibber Village, Langza, Komic and Hikkim. On this day, we will be visiting the biggest monastery of Spiti Valley, the magnificent Kee Gompa, Hikkim and Komic, the highest villages of the world well connected with the motorable road. After spending a day exploring the ancient monasteries of Spiti valley and the stunning backdrops, we will return back to Kaza hotel. We will be having delicious dinner and will stay tonight at Kaza.


Day 12: Kaza to Keylong (185 kilometers and 8 hours)


Today, after having wholesome breakfast in the early morning, we will commence our expedition and drive towards Keylong passing through Losar, Hansa, and Takche. While passing from the Takche you will get to see fabulous panoramic vistas of the soaring mountains and the various small blossoming wildflowers. After covering a few kilometers, we will start driving upward towards the Kunzum Pass and after reaching a certain point; we will start moving downward towards Batal, a small village located near the Chandra River. Later from Batal we will start to move ahead and follow the stream for about 36 kilometers till we reach Chatru. After reaching Chatru, we once again ascend towards Gramphu and then join the Manali- Leh thoroughfare to reach Keylong. On the way, we will halt at Koksar for some time to have tea and for the registration of the passports. Later, moving for a few kilometers we will reach Keylong all the way through the various villages of the Lahaul Valley and the convergence point of the Bhaga and Chandra Rivers at Tandi. We will be having appetizing dinner and stay for overnight at Keylong.


Day 13: Keylong - Sarchu, (106 kilometers/5 hrs)


Today, in the morning, we will drive uphill to reach the Kardang Monastery. This Monastery was built in the 12th century, the Kardang Monastery has a massive library where one can find lots of books related to the Buddhist literature. After exploring and spending some time at this magnificent monastery we will drive downward to reach Sarchu passing through Darcha and Jispa, the two important bases for trekking towards Zanskar since the ancient times. After that, a trip of about 73 kilometers will take towards Baralacha La (4830 Meters). Further, a trip of about 33 Kilometers of a comparatively uneven road will bring you to a busy small hamlet of Sarchu, which is located on the border between the Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir. We will be staying tonight at the fixed camps.


Day 14: Sarchu - Leh

After having healthy breakfast, board the jeep and then we will start driving in the direction of Leh. The initial 25 kilometers on the way, also known as the Lingti Plains, which will be a smooth road and then we, will pass a distance of about 10 kilometers thrilling and nerve-wrenching 21 hairpin bends, which are also known as the Gatta Loops. After a few kilometers drive, we will reach Nakee-La (4800 Meters), a soaring mountain pass which is famous for the fabulous view of the mountains. After crossing the pass, we will drive downwards to reach Whiskey Nallah, ahead of which the road begins to ascend towards the Lachalung la Pass, which is exactly 54 kilometers away from Sarchu. Then we will be passing through a vast stretch of a plane region with straight roads called the Moray Plains which are the part of the Tibetan Plateau. The highest point of the today's expedition will be Tanglang La which is at an elevation of (5359 Meters). Tanglang La is also the 2nd highest motorable road in the world and also the last pass on the Leh -Manali thoroughfare. After crossing Tanglang La and we will enter a little village, dotted with verdant green fields, which be a sign of that, we have entered the Leh.


Day 15: Full day in Leh to visit monasteries


This day, we will be exploring the incredible mountains to get to experience the flavor of Ladakh's rich heritage and culture. Today we will a pay visit and explore the Shey, Thiksey, and the Hemis monastery and also visit the Sindhu Ghat, and Namgyal Shemo Gompa, Leh Palace, and Shanti Stupa. We will be having appetizing dinner and stay for overnight at a hotel in Leh.


Day 16: Leh - Uleytokpo, (70 kilometers /3 hours)

After having wholesome breakfast, we will drive in the course of Uleytokpo and on the way of our journey; we will visit the Phyang Gompa, which located is about 6 kilometers away from Leh. After that, we will drive towards Likir, which is located on the hill, to visit the Gompa. Also, we will visit Basgo, a prehistoric town that located near on the banks of River Indus and known for its historical ruins and Gompas. Afterward, we will be cross River Indus to reach Alchi to visit and explore the monastery. We will spend some time at the monastery and then continue the journey towards or destination Uleytokpo where we will have dinner and for will stay overnight.


Day 17: Uleytokpo - Kargil through Lamayuru, (193 kilometers /7 hours)


At last, the day has come for which we have been waiting for, a fantastic drive from Uleytokpo to Kargil. On the way, we will visit the Ridzong Gompa, which was the meditation center of the eminent Buddhist saints. After visiting and exploring the monastery, we will without delay drive straight towards Kargil over Fotu-La (3967 Meters) which is the highest pass on the Srinagar– Leh road. After that, we will drive up the Kangaroo curves. On the way of the journey, you can see the captivating vistas of the granite color rocks. On the way, we will also pass through other fascinating places Mulbek and Namik-la (3697 meters).

The Chamba effigy which is carved out of a single rock is about 144 feet tall at Mulbek is a place which one must visit. After an exhausting long drive for a distance of about 193 kilometers from Uleytokpo, we will reach Kargil, the 2nd second largest urban center of Ladakh. A huge number of caravans carrying distinctive and exotic merchandise comprising brocade, silk, carpets, ivory, tea, poppy, felts, etc. transited in the city on their way to and from Tibet, Yarkand, China, and Kashmir. In the evening time, you can travel around and explore Kargil.


Day 18: Kargil - Srinagar, (202 kilometers/7 hours)


After having breakfast in early morning breakfast, we will move in the direction of Drass. It is the 2nd coldest populated place in the world from where you can see the fabulous view of the soaring peaks like Tololing Peak and Tiger Hill. After Drass, we will move ahead and pass through Zoji La (3033 Meters), from where we will move forward in the direction of Srinagar. On the way of our journey to Srinagar, we will pass through Sonmarg. After reaching Srinagar, you will transfer to a house boat where we will enjoy delicious dinner and will stay overnight.


Day 19: Srinagar Sightseeing

This wonderful day we will start after having a wholesome hearty meal, as today we will be going for a fabulous sightseeing tour to Srinagar. We will be visiting and exploring various famous places like Shalimar Bagh 'Garden of Pleasure', Shankaracharya Temple, Mughal Gardens and Nishat Bagh (Garden of Pleasure). Afterward, we will drive towards Gulmarg, a beautiful and charming hill station well-known for its magnificent meadow, golf course and world-class ski resorts. After exploring and spending some time at Gulmarg, we will return back to Srinagar.


Day 20: Srinagar - Delhi

Today in the morning, you will transfer to the airport from where you can board the flight to Delhi.
